March is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, so this week we speak to Dr Chidi Molokwu, Consultant Urologist and a passionate advocate of prostate health about the importance of men taking up regular screenings and health check-ups.
One in eight men are going to get prostate cancer, and one in five men are diagnosed with prostate cancer too late for them to be cured, but early detection plays an important role in shaping the prognosis and successful treatment outcomes.
Chidi’s message is simple: if you have any symptoms, get checked; go to your GP and get a blood test – it could save your life.
