To mark national Organ Donation Week next week, 18-24 Sept, we’re focusing on Our Patients with an emotional story of one local family’s amazing transplant journey, which brings home what the ultimate gift of life means.
We speak to Shakoor Ahmed, Managing Director of My Lahore, a family-run business in Bradford, about being a living organ donor as well as hearing from his brother Mahroof about being an organ recipient.
Razdy Igasan, our Specialist Nurse for Organ Donation here at the Trust, also tells us about the need for more donors after death, particularly from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.
