Today at the Trust we’re remembering a very special little boy, Axl Walker, whose legacy is helping other children who spend time in hospital.
Sparkle for Axl Day has become an annual charity appeal dedicated to providing toys for children waiting for treatment on hospital wards, in memory of Axl, who had a rare blood disorder and sadly died in 2018.
In this film we hear from Claire Walker, Axl’s mum, about her inspiring mission to honour her son’s legacy, raising funds to bring comfort and joy to young patients.
We also hear from Lisa Williams, head of Fundraising for Bradford Hospitals Charity, who shares more about Claire’s remarkable success in raising money for this wonderful cause.
