Bradford Hospitals’ Charity was honoured to receive a special award from Islamic Relief recognising its dedication, commitment, and service to humanity.
Adil Ali, Fundraising Officer for Islamic Relief North East and Yorkshire, said it was important for Islamic Relief to thank Bradford Hospitals’ Charity for its work enhancing hospital care, and to thank staff across Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for their dedication.
“It means a lot to us, as an organisation, and to all our partners, that we thank the NHS staff for the past few years, particularly since Covid-19,” he said.
Islamic Relief has donated cakes and food to Bradford Hospitals’ Charity to distribute to staff across Bradford Teaching Hospitals in recent years as a small gesture to say thank you, said Adil, but he said the award was presented to show sincere gratitude.
Sharon Milner, Director of Bradford Hospitals’ Charity, said: “We’re honoured to receive this award in recognition of our work enhancing care across Bradford Teaching Hospitals, and on behalf of all our amazing NHS colleagues who work day in, day out to care for patients.
“It’s vital to our work that we are able to partner with organisations such as Islamic Relief. We look forward to joining forces to meet the needs of our diverse communities, and to seeing the collaborative impact on healthcare.”
