For the Holy Month of Ramadan, Bradford Teaching Hospitals has reviewed its visiting policy and visiting for everyone has been extended from 10am to 10pm during Ramadan until the end of Eid on Tuesday, 1 April.
This will allow people enough time to visit their loved ones following Iftar, the meal eaten by Muslims to break their fast.
The same rules and restrictions will apply to the number of people per bed, and we ask all visitors to be respectful of patients around them, especially later in the evening.
Bradford Teaching Hospitals is also asking people to help them protect patients and staff by avoiding coming into hospital if they have any symptoms of illness.
This includes any symptoms of COVID, flu and colds as well as symptoms of vomiting or diarrhoea, associated with winter-related norovirus.
The Trust is asking anyone planning to visit any of its hospitals to stay at home if they – or their family members – are themselves unwell.
All visitors should remember to wash their hands thoroughly when entering and leaving the hospital and to use the alcohol gel provided at ward and department entrances and exits throughout their visits.
