Victoria qualified as nurse in 2002 in Liverpool and lived and worked in Merseyside until 2018. Victoria first role was within Haematology and Oncology, which sparked an interest in palliative care. She moved into specialist palliative care in 2008, firstly as a Liverpool Care Pathway Facilitator, then in 2009 as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in palliative care progressing to Team Leader for the community palliative care team. Moving back to Yorkshire, Victoria worked as a senior lecturer at the University of Huddersfield teaching on pre-registration nursing courses and the postgraduate end of life course.
Victoria started as Lead Nurse at BTHFT in 2023 and is passionate about providing quality, person-centred, equitable care at the end of someone’s life. She is also interested in workforce development and evidence lead palliative care and is currently undertaking a PhD in palliative care.
