After completing nurse training in Grimsby, Trudy worked for several years on a haematology and oncology ward, before leaving to join an oncology specialist nursing team.
Having gained a wealth of experience within oncology, she decided to further specialise in palliative care and joined the North East Lincolnshire Macmillan Palliative Care team working across all care settings – community, care home and hospital.
In 2017, a family move to West Yorkshire brought her to Bradford where she took up the post of Macmillan clinical nurse specialist in palliative care at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
