I have been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Bradford Royal Infirmary since 2018.
I graduated from Bangalore, India and completed my post-graduate training within the West Yorkshire deanery. I underwent accredited advanced training in benign gynaecology which covered open and laparoscopic surgeries and hysteroscopic procedures.
I specialise in managing women with period problems, fibroids, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts. I am a laparoscopic surgeon and regularly perform operations such as total laparoscopic hysterectomy (removing the womb, tubes and ovaries by key-hole surgery) and treatment of ovarian cysts and endometriosis.
I also perform outpatient procedures like diagnostic hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, polyp removal and fitting of Mirena IUS (Coil).
I am the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ (RCOG’s) tutor in Bradford, ensuring the welfare and training of junior doctors within Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I am also passionate about training junior doctors in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
