Qualifications: Russell has been a consultant physician in renal medicine in Bradford since 2001, having completed training in Cambridge, London and the north-east of England. He is also an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Leeds’ School of Medicine.
He is the training program director for renal medicine in Yorkshire and the Humber, chair of the Standard Setting Group for the Nephrology specialty certificate examination (SCE), and a member of the Royal College of Physicians’ specialty advisory committee.
Clinical interests: He has a special interest in postgraduate medical education in Myanmar, and has led courses aimed at supporting Burmese trainees preparing to take the MRCP (UK) PACES exam in both Yangon and Mandalay.
