Rick is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast and Reconstructive Surgeon with over 10 years Consultant Practice.
His mission is to provide personalised, high-quality care to his patients on an as-needed or preventative basis.
Working with fellow healthcare professionals, Rick believes in working with patients to maintain and improve their health after surgery to serve your entire breasts needs in all stages of life.
He also believes in educating patients and working with them to achieve the best physical state possible.
He is certified by the General Medical Council and Royal College of Surgeons.
He received a Fellowship (non-examination) in General Surgery from the President of the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) of England, Prof Derek Alderson, in November 2017. The Fellowship was for services to Education in Breast Surgery delivered at the RCS, where he is also a Surgical Instructor.
Prior to this, in 2015, he was made a Member of the College Academy of Surgeon Educators.
Rick is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and an active member of the Association of Breast Surgery.
Since 2008, he has taught Consultants and Senior Registrars on skin sparing mastectomy and immediate reconstruction using acellular dermal matrix.
His latest research, which was the world’s first publication on Artia, the third generation ADM from Lifecell, was presented at the Nottingham International Oncoplastic Reconstructive Breast Symposium (ORBS) in September 2017.
