I am the Design and Print Manager for Bradford Teaching Hospitals.
I came to the Medical Illustration department on a 6 months part time contract and 30 years later, I am still here! I am very proud to have won a Hospital Oscar in 2013.
I manage the stock and print of all printed material in the Trust. All orders for clinical documents are allocated to me to process, I then decide the most cost effective and efficient way of sourcing the documents. This could be by ordering through the Trust’s catalogue, printing locally or printing in house.
I work closely with our highly skilled graphic designers, I have good knowledge of all of the Design packages that they use. I create DTP patient information, clinical forms, PowerPoint posters and update all previous designed documents, always following NHS guidelines with regards to the use of the NHS logo, font size, legibility etc.
