Kath is the Lead Nurse for the Pennine Screening Programme.

She has played a pivotal part in the development of breast screening over the last 30 years since it began in April 1988. Kath was based in Huddersfield at the time, later moving to Bradford in November 1990 to pursue her role supporting and guiding women who are screened because they have or suspect they have breast cancer.

As a key worker to women affected by a breast cancer diagnosis, their families and friends, Kath ensures they are given all the relevant information along the treatment pathway from screening  assessment to referral to the appropriate professional.
