Bradford Children’s Continence Service is made up of a small team of Children’s Nurses who are Specialists in bowel and bladder support. Our aim is to improve bowel and bladder outcomes for children across Bradford and Airedale service.

In addition to this we also have a Support Worker who is highly skilled in supporting children with complex needs who may have more challenging needs around toilet training

The Team is based at St Luke’s Hospital and work alongside both the Community and Hospital Services to deliver a Service across Bradford & Airedale for children 0-18 years.

We only accept referrals for families who are registered under a Bradford or Airedale GP and If the referral is accepted you would be invited along to one of our specialist clinics for further assessment. We will explore your issues with you and together we would discuss the most appropriate treatment plan. We may sometimes need to ask you to give us a wee sample to check in clinic and we may have a feel of your abdomen.

We can offer further specialist assessment around unresolved daytime wetting, constipation, soiling and toilet-training and bedwetting.
