There’s never been a better time for newly-qualified nurses to get their careers off to a flying start at Bradford Teaching Hospitals – so why not come and find out more at our next recruitment event.
The Trust is holding a recruitment open day at the Sovereign Lecture Theatre, Bradford Royal Infirmary tomorrow (June 13), giving nurses at the start of their careers – and more experienced candidates – the chance to drop in and hear our Chief Nurse and senior nursing staff explain what Team Bradford can offer.
Vacancies are now available for fully-qualified staff nurses – and interviews will take place on the day.
Jo Hilton, Assistant Chief Nurse: Quality and Workforce, said: “If you are a newly qualified nurse we offer a fantastic support package which includes preceptorship, an extended skills induction, the payment of first-year Nursing and Midwifery Council fees and support to allow you to work in your first-choice areas.
“Come along and speak to our teams about how we can develop your career at the Trust within a specialist area and your general nursing skills.
“We are also keen to speak to more experienced nurses who are ambitious. We allow our staff to move to different areas within the Trust to support professional development.
Leadership development
“We offer a nurse-in-charge development programme for band 5 staff, and leadership development for all band 6 and 7 nurses.”
Bradford is fortunate to have a young, diverse population which brings a unique richness to our work and makes for a great nursing experience. Our nurses are as diverse as the people they look after and our nursing family includes people from all over the world. Bradford nurses are part of a strong team who care, support each other and take pride in caring for our community.
As an integrated care organisation we have great employment opportunities for all types of nurse, whether you are newly qualified, looking for a change of direction, relocating within the UK, looking for promotion or seeking to return to nursing.
Chief Nurse, Karen Dawber, said: “Bradford is a great place to work; we are investing in our people to enable the Trust to provide outstanding healthcare. If you want to work somewhere where no two days are the same, then we are the place for you.
“We want to showcase what we have on offer: flexible working; great opportunities for professional development and being part of a friendly team. If you want to make a difference to patient care and you want to set yourself up for an amazing and unique career, then come and join us.”
Tomorrow’s recruitment day will run from 11am to 3pm at BRI’s Sovereign Lecture Theatre. There’s no need to register – just turn up. Don’t miss it!
