Our achievements and awards The NHS is one of the most cherished and recognisable brands in the world and will be celebrating its 75th birthday this year. In England alone, there are approximately 220 trusts (acute, mental health, specialist or community) which collectively have 142,000 beds with almost 16 million people seen in A&E departments every year. With an institution as vast as the NHS, there are numerous technologies, approaches and innovations that are not only implemented but also originate from within the NHS.

At Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we aim to provide excellent patient care in class leading facilities. As such, we’re delighted that our efforts have been recognised by multiple awards programmes, peers and agencies across the health sector.

Our awards

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has won a multitude of awards and plaudits – all of which we’re honoured to have received. Inventing new and innovative initiatives for our patients has provided us with national recognition and we’re particularly proud of winning multiple Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards. The introduction of our virtual ward programme won a Value in Healthcare HSJ Award in the Elderly Care category and our Ambulatory Care Experience won the award for the Improvement in Emergency and Urgent Care category in the HSJ Awards.

We further built our success and strengthened our reputation in being a leading Trust for technology. Our Command Centre implementation (a first for the NHS and Europe) won multiple awards demonstrating our Trust’s commitment to digital firsts. Our thirst for being a leader in digital technologies in a health setting has continued with the pilot of Tyto Care.
