Hoshiar began work as a Sikh chaplain (Sevedar) with the Trust in May 2013. His role sees him working alongside colleagues in the chaplaincy department.  His work is based on Sikh teachings and includes emotional and religious support for the sick, their carers and family as well as hospital staff.

“I fully believe in equal access and will support any patient regardless of their religious affiliation or non-belief.  I offer friendship, a listening ear and look forward to supporting patients in their journey during their hospital stay.”

Hoshiar’s background has been in environmental health, social care and patient safety, and he uses his previous experiences and skills in providing quality care for patients.
