Meals

If you have a baby on the unit, we can provide hot and cold food. Hot food is served on ward M3 in maternity and available to all parents who are present for long periods of the day with their baby.

Mealtimes are 12pm to 12:30pm and 5pm to 5:30pm.

We also have a fridge and a microwave on the unit in the parent’s kitchen if you would like to bring your own food. We ask you label all food and drinks with your name and the date.

For health and safety reasons all hot drinks must be in a suitable lidded cup when in the nurseries.

Parking

The Women’s and Newborn Unit is located on Smith Lane. The postcode for a sat-nav is BD9 6DA. Access to the unit is via Smith LaneGate 5.

Please provide the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) ward clerk with your car registration number who will then issue you with a permit.
