I am a Clinical Psychologist specialising in Neuropsychology. This means I work with people who have sustained an injury to their brain or have a condition that affects their brain function, such as dementia. I work into the general neuropsychology service and into the Bradford Epilepsy Psychology Service. In the Epilepsy Service I work alongside specialist nurses, GPs, and neurologists to provide support for people with epilepsy and non-epileptic seizures.

My role involves providing assessment to help patients understand how their condition affects their cognitive abilities (thinking skills), behaviour and mood. I also provide consultation to support relevant staff members/teams with understanding the patient’s condition to ensure they can provide the best possible care tailored to the persons individual needs.

I then work with the patient, and where relevant, their family, partner and / or carers to develop individualised recommendations and/or plans to maximise their abilities and/or achieve specific goals related to the difficulties they have experienced with their condition. Within the epilepsy service this work may often include therapy to help people adapt to the changes they have experienced because of their epileptic or non-epileptic seizures.

I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2018, and I have worked for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2020. I am currently completing the post-doctorate diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Glasgow. I also hold qualifications in systemic and family therapy.
