The Children’s medical team consists of:

  • Consultant Paediatricians
  • Speciality Registrars
  • Junior Doctors
  • Advanced Nurse Practitioners

The Nursing team includes:

  • Matron
  • Senior and Junior Sisters
  • Staff Nurses
  • Nursing Associates
  • Play Specialists
  • Healthcare Assistants

Other Healthcare professionals you may meet include:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Dieticians
  • Speech and language therapists

In some cases you will not be seen by the paediatric medical team, but you may be seen by one of the other speciality teams which include:

  • Surgical team
  • Ear, Nose and Throat team
  • Orthopaedic team
  • Maxillofacial team
  • Plastics team
  • Urology team

We also have:

  • student nurses on placement from the University of Bradford and surrounding areas
  • a team of housekeepers, domestic and hospitality staff
  • a schoolroom (ward 30) for children who are of school age, which is open during term time, and is staffed by teachers and teaching assistants

All members of staff should:

  • introduce themselves to you
  • carry a photo identification badge
  • tell you what their role is when interacting with you for the first time.

If you are not sure who someone is, please do not be afraid to ask them.
