Having lived in the local area for over twenty years, I started my career in education as a pastoral support in a school in Bradford.
I worked in a range of local primary schools, first as a support assistant then as a qualified teacher, studying, working full time and being a parent to two children, both born at BRI Maternity Ward.
Being a teacher for over 18 years, I now work as a school SENDCo, supporting children and young people with SEND, and their families.
Through my work and on a personal level, I have taken a keen interest in networking, working across different settings, developing strong links between schools, different health agencies and our Local educational Authority.
I am a strong believer that we can make Bradford Hospitals a better place for all – through clear strategic focus, active and open partnership between all our stakeholders and always maintaining the patient at its core. Because that is the right thing to do, for us, for our children and our children’s children!
I live in Shipley and when not working, I love to cycle with my children, tinker with my bike or get together with my friends for a walk around our beautiful country side.
