• MyLahore teams up with the NHS to help staff get vaccinated

THE NHS in Bradford District and Craven has joined forces with leading restaurant chain MyLahore to vaccinate its staff.

Around 30 staff from MyLahore’s flagship Bradford restaurant will be vaccinated at Bradford College’s vaccination centre – with jabs taking place yesterday and today. This approach forms part of the wider vaccination rollout by the NHS in the district, which includes working with businesses to make it as accessible as possible for people to get protected.

Ishfaq Farooq, Director at the MyLahore Group, said: “We are really pleased to be working with the NHS to enable our colleagues get vaccinated. Making vaccinations accessible to all sections of our communities is really important, and we thank the NHS for working with local businesses in Bradford to help achieve this.”

Nancy O’Neill, NHS co-lead for the vaccination programme across Bradford District and Craven, added: “We’re working together with a range of partners to make it as easy possible for people to get their vaccine. We are really pleased to be working with MyLahore so that we can vaccinate their colleagues, which is part of our wider rollout programme as we increase the work we do with employers across our place.

“It’s really important that people have both doses of their vaccine for the best and longer-lasting protection. Second doses have been brought forward to eight weeks for people over the age of 40 following evidence showing how important the second jab is in protecting people against the Delta variant that is now spreading across the country.”

People can choose to get their vaccine as below:

    • Attend a walk-in clinic with sites across the district opening their doors, including evenings and weekend. People can access details of the clinics online bit.ly/VaccineWalkInClinic
    • Alternatively people can use the national booking service by calling 119 or going online nhs.uk/covidvaccination

All adults aged 18 or over can now get vaccinated against COVID-19. For up-to-date information on the vaccine please visit www.nhs.uk/CovidVaccine
