A MONTH-LONG virtual festival begins tomorrow (27 April) celebrating health and care partnership projects across Bradford District and Craven.
The inaugural Act as One Festival runs until 20 May and features a mix of local speakers as well as key national experts joining events throughout the month. Dr Habib Naqvi, Director of the NHS Race and Health Observatory will kick off proceedings as he joins the first event focusing on career progression for diverse communities.
With over 50 speakers and over 20 events taking place over four weeks, there will be plenty on offer for people to pick from. Sessions will cover topics ranging from data science that changes lives, the work of six apprentices who developed a kindness campaign and an opportunity for people to shape the future health and care strategy for the district.
The festival will end with a recognition day to showcase projects and teams that are living the values of Act as One. Key note speakers for the recognition day will be Prerana Issar, Chief People Officer for the NHS and Chris Hopson, Chief Executive for NHS Providers.
Professor Mel Pickup, Chief Executive of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Our Act as One Festival will be a real mix of events that demonstrate to people locally, regionally and nationally how we are really moving at pace to make integrated working a reality.
