Jo was brought up in West Yorkshire and moved to the North East to study Medicine in 2002. When she qualified as a doctor she moved back to the region working in hospital medicine and completed her specialist training in Genitourinary Medicine in Leeds in 2019.
She started as a Consultant in General Medicine and HIV at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust at the end of 2019. Jo is hoping to improve the links between the inpatient and outpatient service for HIV, and improve inpatient testing for HIV and other blood-borne viruses. She is also assisting the Infectious Diseases research team and is currently a Principal Investigator for one of the arms of COVID research.
