We offer a variety of informative and interactive workshops for women and their birth partners to help you find the answers to all your questions about labour, birth, caring for your baby and becoming a family.

We offer workshops on the following:

  • Active birth: 'Keeping it normal' and 'When nature needs a hand'
  • Labouring in water/water birth
  • Home birth
  • Multiples (twins and more)
  • Breast feeding and bonding
  • Becoming a family
  • Caring for your baby
  • Stork Walk (Mini tour of Birth Centre and Labour Ward)

We offer courses to meet the needs of specific groups (e.g. young parents, non-English speaking, twins, diabetes) and one to one sessions to those with specific needs.

You should book ideally 20-24 weeks of pregnancy as the courses are very popular and get booked up quickly however you can book the Physiotherapy session at any stage, the earlier the better. If you require more information please contact 01274 364511.

Please note: antenatal workshops are only available for women and their birth partners who are booked to give birth at Bradford Women's and Newborn Unit or having a home birth in the Bradford area.
