What we do
The Foundation Trust has a well-established urology department with all modern and state-of-the-art facilities. We deal with uro-oncology, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, LASER endoscopic (stone) surgery, incontinence treatments and general urology.
In 2012 we purchased a £2,000,000 Da Vinci surgical robot to offer patients state-of-the-art minimally invasive 3D prostate and kidney surgery.
We are the West-West Yorkshire Uro-Oncology Centre, receiving referrals from a population of just under 1 million people. We have nurse-led clinics for prostate assessment and oncology follow-up. We were the first hospital in the country to establish a GP With Special Interests-led flexible cystoscopy service, urology triage and haematuria clinics.
