We’re all working hard to improve patient experience throughout our hospitals.
And now we're delighted to announce that we’re all set to host the first Patient Experience Showcase on Wednesday, March 1 at BRI’s Sovereign Lecture Theatre.
If you are a doctor, nurse, social worker, midwife, support worker, service user or other healthcare professional, book your place now and come along and share your experiences of providing the best patient care possible.
The event is the brainchild of Shelley Bailey, Assistant Chief Nurse with responsibility for patient experience.
Staff do a great job
Shelley said: “We know that all our staff do a great job but we want to know what really makes a difference to patients.
"We need to change the conversation with our patients from 'What is the matter with you?' to 'What matters to you?'
World of instant feedback
“We live in a world of instant feedback. The showcase is about moving forward changes that mean something to our patients and staff and improving collaboration."
The showcase will start with a welcome and introduction from Medical Director, Bryan Gill, and Chief Nurse, Karen Dawber.
Lunch will be provided and stands advertising the work of different services will be set up in the main corridor of Field House.
Registration is open now. Places are limited so don’t delay, book your place today!
