Welcome to Paediatric Rheumatology
Our specialist team see children and young people from the Bradford area with a wide range of rheumatic conditions and mechanical joint problems.
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is the most prevalent inflammatory condition with rarer conditions including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM), scleroderma, periodic fevers, and vasculitides.
The team also assess and treat non-inflammatory conditions that benefit from our skilled therapist.
Out-patients clinics are held at Horton Wing, St. Luke’s Hospital (SLH).
Our clinics include Consultant, nursing and physiotherapy staff with further support obtained by occupational therapists, psychologists and podiatrists.
We also hold joint clinics with the Leeds paediatric rheumatology team and have close contact with Ophthalmology clinics for our uveitis screening.
