Retinal Research

Retinal Research Team Information

We are currently recruiting into several clinical trials for patients with Wet AMD, Geographic Atrophy associated with Dry AMD and Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO). These trials aim to find the best treatments for those eye conditions, saving the sight of current patients and that of future generations. In some trials we are able to offer patients brand new treatments not currently available within the NHS. In others we are comparing current treatments to determine which works best or if they are all equal. By doing this we are able to offer our patients in routine clinics the safest and most cost effective drugs.

We also have a number of registry or observational studies for both Wet and Dry AMD and Diabetic Eye disease. They follow patients having routine treatments, looking for patterns, predisposing factors and how the treatments affect people. All of this work helps Drs and Scientists to gain a better understanding of all these conditions and disease processes.

If you have any of these conditions and would like further information on clinical trials, please contact
